Hi,
I recently bought a CZ 452 rifle in .22 cal. I'm looking forward to improve it for target shooting purposes. I've see two thing that might work. I saw that Rifle Basix is selling an adjustable trigger, that has travel and pull, no creep adjustment. Brownells sells an adjustable sear (ball operated) and a softer spring that replaces the factory one, which means only creep adjustment. Question: Has someone around made that kind of experiments with a CZ 452? What's the best to do? Do I need to change both sear and trigger as well?

Get Erick Brooks $14.00 Trigger kit. Here's his web site. Mine breaks at 1.5 pounds and is just like ice. Look over his FAQ section on the CZ's.

My 452 Lux will shoot an inch group at a hundred with match ammo and if the wind isn't blowing. These are great little guns, but you need not spend big bucks to fix the triggers. Ericks trigger kits work very well and come with four trigger springs and the necessary shims to make it into one of the best triggers on the market.

Mine has a 2.5 to 10 Weaver classic scope on it and aside from a four position competition Winchester 52 is one of the most accurate 22's I've ever owned.

One not of caution do not shoot CCI stingers or any 22 with a longer case than a standard long rifle they can damage the chamber on a 452.

This is new to me, can you please explain a little or give me a link. I have found Stingers next to none when it comes to good kills on small critters, and really like my 452. I would like to know more. I didn't realize Stingers were longer and have used them in several 22's over the years with no damage to accuracy that I was aware of, but I never examined chambers either.
Thanks

This is not the point that I'm addressing in my thread, but I say that CCI Stinger have a lighter bullet (32gr, regular ammo has 40 gr.) but also has a much more powerfull powder, that's why is so agressive with chambers and barrels, but maybe one should be careful when using Stinger ammo in autoloaders. Any experience with CZ triggers to share with us?

My CZ 452 has already a softer spring, but that doesn't solve the creep and travel problems. Although, trigger travel is not a huge problem in CZ452. Creep does. I think I'll change the sear as a first step.
Maybe the Winchester Wildcat has a full adjustable trigger. I'm gonna find that out, and might get rid of the CZ and get a Winchester wildcat in .22 caliber. It costs almost muxh less than the CZ452, besides. Any experience with that rifle around?

The 452 chambers are cut short like a match chamber. The stingers have a longer case than a standard 22 long rifle. Use of the stingers in this short chamber will damage the chamber.

The trigger kit that Brooks sells consists of more than just springs and it took care of the creep and overtravel on my trigger. In fact when installed according to directions this is one of the best triggers I've used.

I see, well my Cz 452 is a Varmint model, so I guess there must not be any restriction with any kind of .22 LR ammo. Is there? I 'll go seek for my user's manual.
Getting back to the trigger, I saw that Timney is making a three variable trigger, but it's more expensive. As I said, I have a soft spring in it, maybe I'll stay with my idea of changing the sear, besides trying the Brooks kit. Brownells' model looks good.
Besides, I'm still waiting for some brand to make a good target stock for the CZ 452. I don`t like "hand-mades"
