I'm looking for some claro stock makers that can inlet Howa actions, but I'm having trouble. For a 220 Wby Rocket project I'm wanting to start, the only stock I've found to date, that I would prefer, was Richard's model 12 varminter...

It is my opinion that the longer forend of this stock's profile would grace the longer barrel required of the Swift.

But they replied that they don't inlet for Howa/Vanguard.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, their listings were pretty good, but I'm hunting the older Savage Varmint Profile....

I've been data mining 'till I'm tired.

Man, I am not looking forward to having to inlet the stock myself..but it just might turn that direction.
Thanks for the reply !!!

Have a good Weekend

I've put a lot of stocks on over the years and always found a way to use stocks that came pre-inletted. Doing the whole thing by hand was just more work than I could ever justify charging for. Even inletting a 98 percent inletted stock can be a chore.

One thing is that Richards will leave extra wood most anywhere you might want and they will inlet 1/16 inch oversize to make glass bedding a breeze.

Only down side is it takes them quite a while to get the stock to you. I'd give them at least three months even though they say six to eight weeks.
