Has anyone put a synthetic stock on their m38 MN and used iron sights? I would like to trim a couple pounds off my little carbine but wonder if the comb is too high for using my mojo sight.

I don't believe you will have any issues w/ your mojo's and a replacement stock. That should make for a nice little thumper!

Lots of aftermarket and factory stocks these days are really made for scope mounting. Best I can say is you might want to talk to the stock mfg and see how high the comb is compared to the stock you have on it now. That would give you some idea of the usability.
I know that Richards Micro-Fit makes a light weight laminate and if they have an action inlet for your rifle that would save you some weight. Here's their site address.

thanx guys. I am going to give it a try. If Push comes to shove I could scope it.
The MN 38 in the vault at my place kicks and bellows enough as it is without going to a lightweight stock. I'll leave the original military stock on it. Did put a BSA 2x pistol scope on it via the B Square ladder sight attachment mount.
If you haven't tried some of BTB's cast bullets with reduced loads through it, you're missing something.

I am planning to try the btb cast in it. I am going to load it down to 300 Savage level. I should be a pussy cat. One thing about using the milsurp loads in it , you don't want to get to close or you'll start the critter on fire! Heck of a blast
