I acquired an Model 9 .22 Caliper L.R. handgun from an Auction. Only problem was it didn't have a cylinder with it. Now i am looking for a Cylinder for it, but cannot find anything about this model. The gun has a hole for the rod under the Barrel. I don't know too much about Guns so please have pity ;) thanks. Does anyone know anything about this model?

Welcome to the forum cryptic. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.

You didn't say whom made the gun, that would help in identifying it. Keep in mind that replacing a cylinder is usually not just drop in affair in a revolver. There is some fitting that needs to be done. There has to be the correct distance from the end of the barrel (forcing cone) to the front of the cylinder and two other things happen when a cylinder revolves. It has to line up correctly with the bore of the gun and the cylinder lock has to come up into a notch at the right time to lock it in this position. This is called timing on a revolver and several things have to work together to make this happen.

This usually requires the expertise of a gunsmith whom is competent with revolver timing issues to make it work right.

If you can post a picture, I can't find any reference to the company you quoted.

My best guess is it may be an H&R revolver. They made guns for Sears and Montgomery Wards and several other folks.

If it is parts may be available from the site Cheezywan gave you.
