Well I bought a Cooper Rifle in .20 Vartarg and went to my annual prarrie dog hunt in Montana. As you might expect I passed the small cartridge around the supper table. My fellow shooters were polite and wished me well. They were all shooting AR-15's and were sure that the .223 would seperate the boys from the old man with his new wimpy cartdridge. By the end of the first day things had changed. Sure the Cooper is a single shot and no where near as much brass was piled around me but a lot more PD's were dead. The extra velocity made for some spectacular shows. They all agreed I killed more than they did. Skill?? No way. An amazing cartdridge/gun combination. I recommend the Vartarg cartridge no problem. Anything out to
300 yards, just aim center. You if are thinking about an awesome low recoil/report varmint killer you will love this gun.

Got to agree with you Dale. I shoot a 204 Ruger and it's really simular to the vartarg. Those 20 caliber guns just seem to outperform everything else on the market.

I too shoot a 20 VT...so very impressed with the cartridge...it has turned into my favorite p/dog rd...I rechambered a 204 Pac Nor barrel to 20VT..its 12 twist and 24" x 1.055" now..screwed on a s/shot Savage action..I also built a new 204 barrel in its place....the 20s are hot..I only use the 40 V max...barrel now has 3300+ rds down it total...the last 800 being VT..my next 20 is gonna be a 20 Practical....http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/438/doggin526001je0.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
