I already have a nice Kirkpatrick Texas Cross-Draw for it and now I'm looking for a strong side carry.

Hello Thomas,

Nice gun, congrats. I'm a big Galco man myself, they just seem to me like they were built by folks that have carried a gun before. They make a holster called the fletch, and open top model of the same cant, and a nice light hoslter called the silloutte (sil O' et) however the heck you spell it.

Hope that it gives you good service.

Steve

Like whitehunter I like Galco holsters. I don't particularly care for all the new plastic holsters, but they do seem useful for the price.

I bought a Phobus for my two inch snubby as the paddle makes it nice for a car carry holster that can be worn cross draw or strong side carry. I find it so stiff and bulky that I don't use it much. I keep in in the glove box for use in the car. It is much better than trying to get a revolver out of your pocket when your sitting in a car.

Interesting. I'm fairly new to this type handgun. I'll be picking up my new XD next month. I can't get very excited about the little plastic holster deal that comes with the XD.

Are the Galco holsters readily available?

Thanks,
Dave

Oops, Cancel the question. I just found them fairly close by. :o

If you consider composites, the Supplied XD holster is basically a Fobus type.

I bought the G-Code holster, a Kydex paddle, but i have to tell ya it is built very well. It has an adjustable tensioning screw, that holds the firearm really tight!

I believe it is worth the money. The only other I have for my XD9 is a Donhume JIT [read cheap yet effective], but there is no security to it at all.
