I came across a beautiful 1899 Krag sporter at a local gun shop. The rifle has a Redfield aperature rear sight and a deluxe sporter stock. I cannot beleiev how little I paid for the rifle. The bore is worn so I ordered a .30-06 barrel from Midway. The new barrel will be rethreaded and rechambered into a .30/40 Karg and fitted to this rifle. Take care...
