Hi, First post from a new shotgunner. Purchased the 105CTI a couple of months ago and first 500 rounds went off without a hitch. Yesterday, I started having failure to fires - about 10% of the time. Switched ammo with no improvement.

When I examine the shell, the failures appear to be caused by light and off center primer hits.

I stripped the gun down this morning and found an interesting wear pattern on the bolt face. Can anyone tell me what they think may be happening by looking at the bolt face and a sample misfire?? As you can see the hit is not even close to center and the wear marks on the bolt face looks like the shell is not getting lined to get a center hit.

Is there something I can do before resorting to warranty work?? By the way, the entire gun including, firing pin, firing pin tube and spring as well as the extractor were all very clean when this started happening yesterday.

Thanks in advance gang.

Welcome to the forum orionshooter. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.

From your description and the looks of the bolt face and the shotshell I think your going to have to refer this to the factory. Check and see if there's a factory service center neay you. This is a new shotgun for Remington and it looks like you've discovered a glitch that needs looked at.
