anyone out there dealt with a loose sight on a nm vaquero ? Does not look like solder - more like black max. Gun is stainless.

Can this be removed easily and soldered without discoloring the metal? If it does discolor can it be polished out?

Deed is done. Popped it out easily with a wiggle from pliers. Cleaned out groove and sight and fixtured in padded vise. Fluxed and tinned both parts and mated them up. Stainless holds it heat a long time, so an allignment jig would be a good tool if I were to make a habit of doing this. Cleaned up and polished easily. On to the bolt timing!
