Shawn Carlock in Rathum,ID. built me a 338 Laupa with a 30" ABS Carbon Wraped barrel. The rifle was built around the 325 grain Wildcat rebated boat tail as an extreme range rifle. It is built on a Rem 700 action and housed in a Sendero stock topped with a Nightforce 5.5X22X50 scope. Shawn shot the rifle today with the first load that he ever put together with the 325 grain Wildcat bullet and shot a .8" three shot group at 300 yards.... That's .255 MOA without working a load for the rifle..... To say that I am pleased is an understatement... We are still waiting on the Detachable box magazine that will allow a 3.9" loaded lenght, when it arrives and is installed he will ship it to me ..........Can't wait.........

I got your phone message, John, but haven't had a chance to call back. Sounds like a real neat gun!

Does Shawn work at a shop or for himself? I thought I knew most of the shops and 'smiths in the area, but I don't recognize his name or the shop in the pic. The only thing that comes to mind in Rathdrum is BAT.

Looks like he does good work, and is maybe someone I should know. :)
