I just purchased a Colt New Srevice---7 1/2 Barrel---38/40.

Now for the help I need. Can someone direct me to a site that I can find out when the Colt was made by the serial number.

Also, the weapon does not have the Lanyard ring. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to purchase one?
