I have a Rossi Overland S/S 12 gauge coach gun. Bought it from a friend. Is it a good shotgun?

Me thinks this is in the wrong place! :)
To answer your Question and ask one, does it have exposed hammers? I like the exposed hammer Rossi s/s. Jim

You're right. I didn't realize until I sent the message that I was in the wrong area. And yes, it has exposed hammers & is in excellent shape, never fired.

Wanna sell it? I'm guessing you are in Arizona? Jim

Yeah, I'm in Tombstone. Kinda hard to hide that! I may be interested in selling, since buying, it's been hanging on the wall.

The only problem I know about is the very early models had some firing pin issues - brittle pins that were prone to breaking/shattering. If I remeber, if you sent the old ones in along with the s/n of the gun, they would send you new ones for free.
Other than that, yes they are a good gun that prefer light weight loads (7/8 - 1 ounce) with a matching charge of a slow burn rate powder to get the best patterning.
