Just read an article on this new Smith in September Guns & Ammo. I really like the size and weight of this gun. Heck I was just about convinced to go out and try to track one down for possible purchase until I read in the article that this gun had the quirk of denting the brass on extraction. Actually the author said that the ejection process was "interesting" and that the brass ejection was somewhat erratic and concluded the brass was hitting the slide. Anyone know if this is just because this might be a pre-production model and will be corrected before the official release. I am a handloader and see this as a negative, cuz I could see myself going through hundreds of rounds on the range and I certainly wouldn't want to take 2-300 rounds back to the loading bench all dented up. The trigger seem like it will be perfect for concealed carry, for me 6 to 7 pounds would be perfect! accuracy also seem to be definitely adequate for defensive purposes. Hoping S&W addresses this before this gun goes into full production.
