If you want to go, you should. It isn't going to get any easier or cheaper. Right now it might hold some of the best opportunities available for the visiting hunter for ease and affordability than has ever existed.

Granted, it still isn't exactly cheap, but if it is a priority for you, just about anyone that really wants to go and commits themselves toward that end can make it happen.

I'm interested in plains game. What happens to the meat? I'd want it to go to good use or am not interested.

Depends on where you hunt. If you are hunting in the concessions and the largest conservancies, typically the best cuts of meat are kept for camp meat and the rest is distributed to the villages. If you are hunting on a private ranch, the meat is sold at market.

Nothing is wasted, but profit is made on the private ranches from the kills.
