What kind of snake eats mostly desserts but doesn't get fat?

FOR DOK THE ENGINEER. One of my sisters-in-law teaches high level high school math. They have been asked by some of the local colleges to add a section on slide rules. They say that the incoming college level math students can do the math as long as a calculator or computer is handy. Otherwise they are lost. They know the formulaes but not the mechanics of manipulating numbers. They are hoping that a slide rule orientation will help them understand these mechanics.
