I tried searching the rifles thread, but couldn't find anything.
Does anyone happen to know where I might find a twist rate table for rifles?
I believe my Browning 1885 has a 1:10 inch twist, but can't remember for sure.

If the gun's been fired, then you can figure it out yourself pretty easily by running a tight patch down the bore and measuring how many inches of your cleaning rod has gone down the barrel when it has made one full revolution.
Otherwise, no one can answer your question or even give you an idea without knowing the chambering of your 1885.

Heh, my bad.
Forgot to state caliber, and I did think of running a cleaning rod in the barrel while measuring truns with a ruler after I posted this.
Thanks for the reply!

I believe it is the Sierra reloading manual that also has a fairly comprehensive twist rate table in the back.
