Can you tell us what that model is? I have a Savage 116, but the 111 doesn't trigger my memory.

I have a Savage 111"package" gun in .308, pre"Accutrigger". It has about 200rds. thru it and I have only used Rem. Core-LokT 150gr factory ammo. It shoots about 1.5in. at 100yrds. Trigger adequate, feels good in my hands and quality is great for the money. Can't wait to handload for it!

Bought my .270 w/simmons 4x scope back in '02. The 111's are the synthetic stock model in case anyone wanted to know.

I just purchased a 22-250 Savage w/accu trigger, bull barrel, and love the trigger. I haven't shot enough of it yet to see how well it shoots.
Also I just bought a Savage Stevens 200 in .308. ($ 289 at Gander, how could I refuse?) After mounting the scope using alignment bars and lapped the rings, It shot 3 different kinds of factory ammo (including the Hornady Light Mag) in 5 separate 3 shot groups all at 1 ¼ 100 yds.
It was all I had time for unfortunately. The 3 types of ammo were Remington Match w/168 gr Sierra Match Kings, Hornady Light magnum 150 gr SST’s, and Black Hills match 168 gr TSX’s.
I chronographed all the loads. They all performed at equal to or greater than, published velocity out of my 22 inch tube. It was about 70-75 degrees.
I’m satisfied with this performance out of the box. The trigger is creepy, but consistent. It has a small amount of take up, and then a clean break. I’m going to try and lighten it up a bit later (but not too light).
See this thread as well.

I was searching for info on Rifle Basix triggers and found that link. Midsouth shooters has them in the 1-3.5 lb range for $ 66.
