I have always wondered about that weird magazine-fed lever-action rifle Van Pelt carried for the first part of the movie Jumanji.

Was that a real make and model or replica, or was it just a made up movie prop?

It was a made up movie prop...first time I saw it I laughed so hard I nearly wet my pants.

Unfortunately I can't even find a screenshot of it.

I just rewatched the movie recently with my boys. It is a Winchester 1887 or 1901 Lever shotgun reciever with a rediculously large prop barrel and magazine attached to it.

I did a little searching and found this one pic... not very good but here it is.

I keep looking for the flag to pop out of the barrel that says bang.

That is the picture of the second rifle that he acquires at a Gun Shop(sleazy gun shop owner in background :mad: )....he ran out of ammo with the first one, which was the Winchester Lever Action 1887 or 1901 with the prop barrel.
