Anybody have one these? Was wondering what the case capacities were? And what bullet weights were used. Also is it based on the 222 mag case?

Not a 222 mag. It is basically a stretched 6BR. 308 head, small primer, and I think small flash hole. Supposedly 308 case based (243, 260) velocity, using less powder in a case designed for competition. It is starting to get some traction in 300-1000 yard matches.

Have had a couple of weeks to try my 6.5 X 47 (sporter). Best results to date are with Berger 130/140 VLD bullets using H4350 and RE19. My rifle is chambered with a long throat (.254" freebore) so the long bullets are ideal. Most three shot groups @ 100M (110yds) are under 1/2".

If you go to Zak Smith's website, demigodllc.com, he has written a couple articles about the 6.5x47, including some that compare it to the 260 Rem and the 6.5 Creedmore. Sounds like all three are pretty similar in performance, check out the articles if you have the time.
