View Full Version : Gun stocks
No, not that kind. Securities.
Smith and Wesson is on fire right now.
Ruger has performed very well since Bill Jr. retired in '06 but it has had a set back the past month. Might be a good time to buy...might not. :D

years ago I had Colt stock. when the stocks took a big drop, I dumped them, and the revenues generatedfrom the sale of those I added to FORD stock.
I wonder how those with S&W did through the whole govt' dealings.

The past five years or so has been a good time to buy S&W stock.
The odd thing to me is S&W now produces NO new firearms I am interested in.
The last new S&W I bought was a 317 Air Light with regular sights - none of that fire-sight stuff for my old eyes. I like the Air Light and the blue box it came in does weigh more than the 317.

I cannot get over the light-weight of these handguns

In 2001, S&W was trading at < $1. It's now at about $20.

Being able to predict the future would be right handy, wouldn't it?
Mr. Iorg, I'm not that crazy about the current S&W handguns either but I did see a pretty .44 Special the other day with a color case hardened frame.
I think the older guns are the best value on the market today.

I let my Fidelity Freedom Fund pick out the stocks, none of them are in firearm companies though. I have always thought that day-trading like that is gambling for people with way too much money.
Ruger took a beating this week. A link for anybody that may be interested.
