Years ago I bought a 22 Savage blank cartridge that allowed you to put a 22LR cartridge in it and you inturn would load that in your 22 Savage Modell 1899 rifle and shoot it. The company is not in business anymore. I am looking for one for a 223. You would just load a 22LR shell in it and fire it in your 223. Now, of course this is single shot. I want my 9 year old to shoot the single shot 223 allot, but with a 22 shell. Lower recoil and cheaper. Does anyone know who still makes these? Thank you

wouldn't it be more fun to just buy a 22? :D

JB, If you are a compitition shooter, the firearm is everything. To be able to practice w/ inexpensive ammo is a good thing. I use a Wilson .22lr upper on my Wilson Combat commander. Same trigger pull, same grip.... It's all about repitition. Jim
