For those that remember I last posted about this new rifle I have been working on. It's a 220 AI with a 1 in 9 twist barrel instead of standard twist. Tried heavy bullets (80 gr. berger VLD) results were okay but not what I had hoped for. Today shot some Hornady 68 gr MHPBT. Even though I was basically looking for ballistics info, they seemed to shoot pretty tight groups. Fired 4 strings of 5 shots each without cleaning barrel and with only about 1 ten minute cool down period. Loads were with Reloader 19. Anyone out there have suggestions about a different powder or something else to improve performance a little. Like I said the stock is unfinished and basically unbedded, so I know bedding will help out some. But I'm open for any suggestions.
