Has anyone out there tried Hodgon's Lil'Gun powder in a 41 Mag?

Their load data chart shows high velocity & low pressure with it.

Sure looks like it's worth a try, but I hate to buy a pound of powder for a test.

Nope - haven't tried it yet, but have an 8 # jug of it for the .22 Hornet, so may have to give it a try in the .41 Mag.

Your mission, kdub - if you choose to accept it - is to do it soon and post the results.

This thread will self destruct when you are finished reading this reply.

I've wanted to try it in my .357 Mag and .44 Mag for some time because the velocities are good but the pressure is very low.

I'll certainly give it a try, Oneeyedjack, but it will be a while. Working on several other priority loading programs at the moment. :p

I use Lil Gun in my .41 mag and like it.
My load is 20 gr Lil Gun under 210 Hornady XTP with Win Large Pistol primers. It gives 1480 fps in my Model 57 S&W.
No pressure signs and reasonable recoil

How is the Lil'Gun as far as fouling - clean/dirty?
