Unless the ultrasound tech is wrong, I have been spared buying a pink AR-15 this time around :D My Boy is due on Super Bowl Sunday and if he loves his Dad, he'll show up a day late. Actually, I could survive him showing up on his due date as long as he is healthy. Course, knowing my luck, the Cowboys will make it this year

Nothing wrong with the Cowboys, I'm a life-long fan, living in Eagles country.

A Cowboy fan living in "Iggles" country. That's tough!

Congrats on the baby news, my daughter and son-in-law have 4 girls, they just announced a 5th pregnancy and are really hoping for a boy. We sent them a blue sleeper and told our daughter to show it to her mid-section, sort of a hint to the newby.
When the conversation drifts aroung to football people will ask - which team do you like - I pull for the Browns and ANYBODY that plays against the Dallas Cowboys. It's just not right, them proclaiming themselves as America's Team.

Congratulations!! Remember , you can't go wrong with most lever actions. He can be left or righthanded and will be able to handle them! :D

And if all fails, and you have a girl....you'll love just as much, and teach her to shoot when it's time.;)
A bit of time left before kickoff, but congrats to you and Mrs. JB
The Mrs. and I did not want to know what we were having 12 years ago, and up till the delivery date the Dr. did not let on...
On the final push, he turned to me and said..."do you have a name for your son?"
Elated, Mrs. and I both said Nicholas, and she gave one last effort....
The next comment from the Dr. was, " Sorry, there is no stem on the apple, got another name????".
12 years ago my wife presented me with a beautiful daughter! Love her more than life itself.
enjoy your wife's pregnancy, and time spent with her.
Enjoy your child, as I guarantee you will...
Enjoy your sleep now, 'cause it's a bout over boy! LOL:p
God Bless.

Just got back from week 3 of childbirth classes, 1 more week to go :) we had to do the classes now because the next session ends on the first day of Deer season and we couldn't have that :D I did manage to convince my wife that I needed a progressive press before the baby was born

Congrats. I saw your post on getting the progressive. I must note that keeping the little one busy reloading for your rifle as well as the rifle you get him might not be a bad idea. Based on the lead in the toys, relaoding certainly would not be any less safe than playing them.
I have one of each. Joseph has grown in to a great shooter with excellent trigger control and a keen sense on adjusting sights when needed. My daugther has become super competitive but has some way to go, being two years younger and much more petite. Tough to hold a 22 steady when it darn near weighs as much as she does, even at 11 years old.
You will not regret having kids, even though life and sleep as you know it will never be the same.
My wife and I agree, parenthood is just a passage from one fear to another.
When they cry you fear something is wrong, when they stop you are sure they have died. When they wont eat, they must be sick. If they eat too much they must have a tape worm or other parasite. If they run a temp you rush them to the hospital only to be told it is just another ear infection.
Overall it is a wonderful ride.
