why are there so many "stickys" and "moved" notes in the general forum ??

The stickies are for details that new members should know about how this forum operates and a bit of other important information. General gets too many posts that should be in other forums. We have several places where questions about say, Marlin rifles, should be posted, but somebody will post a Marlin question in General. Quite frankly, when I browse forums other than Beartooth's, I tend to skip the General and check out the topic specific forums.

I sign in frequently enough that I just hit the "new posts" button. I don't even pay attention to the particular forum category unless I'm looking for something specific.

To back up what Jack says, if folks would peruse the various forums and find the one more specific to their post, it would save the Mod's from having to move them to the rightful forum.

We strive to keep the Gen'l Discussion forum to things of a general hunting/firearms theme. It can get bogged down when posts that should be located in the other forums are stuck here.

Thanks for your help in keeping this forum from being cluttered up. Hope this meets your "reasonable" request.
