We had a hot week-end. The bowhunters didn't do anything but my grandson ad I saw some good bucks. I'm fiddeling with a new DVD camera and am having trouble formatting it. So no pictures for the ol' gamepole.

Yep. I think it is the moultrie digital. I did not get a good look at it before my buddy set it up in the woods. He had it set to take pics every hour if something was there and it did on friday nite from midnight untill 3. The spot sat. night where it caught the buck, that was the only pic of the night and it was at about 10.

Well, I checked the trail camera and found these pics. Just some yearling buck pics and pigs. I never changed the date so the dates are wrong. But I did see a big buck Saturday evening with my grandson. That was cool. But no pics of him.
We were trying to get out of the blind without spooking the big buck so I thought if I howled like a coyote, they would leave and not connect the sounds to us so we could leave early. I howled and all the deer lit out for parts unknown.
If you ever want a good coyote howl to spook deer away, I'll record it and send it to you'll. My grandson thought it was scarry!

That looks to be one comfortable camp Chief! While I would be disappointed if I didn't dump an elk this year, I would still have a great time hunting, and in camp, like you guys did.

Yes, Shawn, that was from the pig I shot a few weeks ago, mixed with some other odds and ends from the freezer. Great stuff!!!!!!

im new here, any hunters wanna talk guns, i just bought a 308 blr browning, is it ideal for whitetail hunting or what?
im from south dakota by the way, got some biig deer up here boys,no hogs wouldnt hunt those fat things, too easy

I guess you all saw the little buck I got with my new Tikka on the Game Pole. I thought the story would go in both topics but they don't. That was before my prostate surgery and now I am walking a mile a day and doing OK now that I am mobile again. I can't lift stuff for a while now so I have to be careful but I think a trip afield will be next week. I will just layup and watch football this weekend. Maybe a story for here and a pic for the game pole, next week.
