After years of buying single pounds of powder I ordered a keg. I have been trying to shoot different weight bullets from two different guns to find the best loads with one type of powder. My choice... H380. My two guns, remington .22-250,.243. Bullets range from 55gn to 80gn. Q

Q,
I hope you land on some good loads for both. I'm still in the 1 lb can mode, although I don't do a lot of high volume shooting.

Is a keg 8 lbs?

If your .243 has a 1-10 or faster twist start at a minimum charge and a 100 gn sierra sfb. Shot that bullet and H380 in competition for 3yrs it was a trophy getter though not fast very accurate as in one holers out to 200. Don't have any expierience with the lighter bullets in .243 or a 22-250 with H380.

39.5 gns of h380 and a 55 gn nosler in my 22-250 is a 2inch at 300 yards load. 51gns of h380 in the .243 with a 55gn nosler is a 3/4 inch at a 100 yards. 38.5gns and a 80gn sierra is 1 1/4 inch at 100 yards. I hope to improve on the 80gn load. I'll have to try the 100gn load. Thanks Swany. The keg is an 8 pounder.Q

The ones that say BUD are full-the ones that say H110 are never full.
