Just received a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with Polygonal receiver from Inter Ord. and am happy with it. Birch stock is in super shape and inside of barrel shiny with very distinct rifling. Might be a real good shooter.
When I disassembled the rifle for a complete cleaning of the cosmoline, I found pitting on the outside of the barrel along and just below the stock line. It's not visable when the gun is assembled.
Even though the pitting can't be seen I would like to fill the crevices and cold blue the repair to prevent any additional damage. Does any one know of a good way to do this?
I'd appreciate any help with this. Thanks
