I recently bought a 270 Win barrel for my Thompson black powder. I am having a problem finding the metal studs that the forend screws bolt into can anyone help?

If this is a factory barrel you might check with Thompson, they may have the pieces you want. Also check with Brownell's if you have no luck with Thompson, Their one of the biggest gunsmiths parts suppliers in the country.

if you got yourself a new 270 barrel for your T/C Encore, did you also get a "rifle" forend? The 270 barrel is drilled and tapped for two 8-40 screws and does not have the metal studs like what the muzzle loader barrel has....
