I have a old stevens model 335, like a 311, and i took it apart ( not really apart) just triggers/ stock, and now that i put the triggers back in ( its just a plate with 2 triggers--seems simple) i can only get 1 barrel to fire, both triggers "click" but only 1 fires, i took it apart again, messed with it, and put it back together, and i got it to work out of both barrels, 1 time, then it went back to only working out of 1..... what do i do?

The Savage side by side's appear to be simple guns, but their not. You may end up having to have a gunsmith fix this one.

There are several articles in Trails End Magazine December/January 2000 entitled Adventures in Gunsmithing the Stevens 311 part II that you can access with an internet search that talks about repairing and replacing the hammer springs in the Savage double shotguns.
