I would like some input on the 220 grain load for the .35 Remington round. Dunham's has both 200 and 220 grain loads. I am not sure which one to use for deer hunting.

Deer? Doesn't get much better for factory ammo than the tried-and-true 200gr. Cor-Lokt bullet from Remington.

Have killed deer, hogs, turkey, and one unlucky coyote with mine. Most stuff just went straight down in it's tracks and one alerted spike maybe ended up 20 or 25 yards from where he was standing when the bullet hit. No trouble to find.

Now I've moved on to the Beartooth 185gr. "+P" handgun bullet at about 2300fps, with great results, but it wouldn't bother me in the least to head to the field again with the Rem factory ammo (or handloads with that bullet).

Might consider getting a Lee loader in .35, some component bullets, and dipping your toe into handloading :D

Good luck!

Stinger,

I've used a handload of the Speer 180 gr FN bullet over IMR 3031 for years, and have taken both whitetail deer and black bear with no problems. Marshall makes a 180gr .35 caliber WLN that's supposed to be a really hard hitter!!
