Hello folks,
Just registered in and thought I'd ask what bullets have been successful for your .40 loads with a Glock 22. I understand that seating depth for the .40 bullet is essential due to high pressure build up. What has worked for you?? Thanks.

Your best bet is to carefully follow the manufacturer's recommendation for cartridge OAL for any bullet you are considering. This information is published in the loading manuals and if you are a novice reloader, it's vital that you stick exactly to what is written to avoid bad surprises.
Stick to the published information and you'll have no difficulty, I'll wager. Rather than worry about what bullet is 'best,' simply pick one for which there is plenty of data. Sierra, Speer, Hornady, and Nosler all make pistol bullets, and of course publish reloading data. Some of the other manuals are more generic (though certainly useful) such as the Hodgdon and Lyman. Those may or may not identify the bullet type exactly.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.
You will note in the manufacturer's literature, DO NOT shoot cast lead bullets in the original factory barrel! Not if you intend on keeping the pistol all in one piece, along with all your digits.

I use copper plated bullets from Berry's Bullets in my Glock 22. They are cheaper than most jacketed bullets. Make sure you use a manual like Lees that has specific loads for copper plated bullets, or look at the manufacturer's website for advice on how to load these bullets.
