I have WAA12 (White) wads. I need load data for 1 oz. Lee cast slugs and for Hornady .451 lead balls if possible? I would like magnum power for the slugs and trying to use the balls for home defense in these hulls.

Welcome to the forum.

For very specialized loads, it often doesn't pay to make a big investment in handloading, both time and dollars spent on components.

There's plenty of existing slug and buckshot loads that may help you out ..... not only from the major manufacturers, but specialized ammo makers like Dixie Slugs.

Their "Tri-Ball" load looks very interesting if you would like something with a bit more punch than standard buckshot.

Hope this helps.

From experience, I can tell you first hand that specialized loads can be very tricky when it come to pressure.
One should match the wad design to the hull design. The Fiocchi, Federal, Cheddite and other straight walled hulls need a wad designed for them....not wads designed for taperd inside hulls. The best we have found with the Lee Key Slug (one ounce) is the Federal 12 ga. 12S3. A 20 ga nitro wad should the placed under the slug and inside the wad.
To be on the safe side powders like Unique and Blue Dot should be used. The pressure with all IMR and Alliant powders are fairly linear, where Ball powder at parabolic and can spike....fast.
The Lee Key Slug can be cast from wheelweights (Lee will not tell you that) and that will increase the penetration.
You mentioned .451" balls, so you must be interested in multi-ball loads. Be very careful with designing multi-ball loads. Equal powder weight for large balls equal shot weight just does not work! The same applies to a slug vs shot weight.
Alliant has some good data for the Lee Key Slug.
