Hi

I just saw a Husqvarna bolt action single shot with an octagonal barrel in 45-70 on a trading website. It was quite an attractive looking rifle and caught my interest. Does anyone know about these rifles? I would like to know about the action and how it compares in length to actions like the Ruger No. 1? Also, how strong is the action?

Sarco is selling the small caliber (30-30, 32-20) versions of these rifles. They are as long as any bolt rifle from the pictures. There is quite a bit of discussion on the web on the Husky single shots, if you do a Google search.
