I purchased a Winchester 9422 XTR WinCam rifle last wekend at a gun show and it is a beautiful little gun. However, when I purchased a sling for it, the swivel will not go through the front swivel post which is on the tube magazine of the rifle. Anyone known why the swivel will not go through? There appears to be some kind of an insert on one side of the swivel post that prevents the swivel from coming through, and I didn't want to try to force it through and damage the swivel post or gun. And does anyone know a manufacturer that makes a set of this type of swivel post for the 9422M? The Uncle Mikes set that I found that stated it would fit most .22 cal tube magazines stated it would not fit a Winchester 9422M. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Just use the appropriate drill and drill it out to the right post size. Use a q-tip and reblue and put on some Kroil or simular gun oil to keep it from rusting.
