I have an older pre 64 94 that was handed down to me from my great grandfather. It currently has a redfield m294 scope base with a redfield z25965 2x scope on it. Is there a bigger/more powerful scope out that that I can put on this? I have brought it to a gunsmith and he told me the only way was to drill new holes and side mount a scope, but I really don't want to do this. Thanks in advance for all the help.
