I had jjust bought my gun two years ago, and last year, when I shot my buck, the shell wouldn't eject. I took it apart today, but it was difficult to screw and unscrew to get the barrel off. What causes this? Is it bent somehow? I did it just like the video that I watched. It's dead nuts for shooting, so I am not worried about that. Is it safe? After all, I did shoot it last year, despite not knowing I had this problem.

From the sounds of your problem, I doubt anything is bent, it could be ammo specific, or you might need to give the gun a good scrubbing and go over the chamber with a little steel wool to polish it up a bit. then lube the gun real good and give it another go...

Is it "sticky" just after you've fired the gun or do the shells stick even when cycling unfired shells through the gun???

Chambers rust and shells will stick when fired to the thin rust. Brownells offers a chamber brush just for cleaning the chamber... slightly oversized from bore brush. I have one for each of my shotguns. You can also wrap steel wool around a bore brush and use that to clean the chamber.

It only failed to eject after shooting it, then my husband managed to get the shell out, and eject the unspent shells. I don't think there was a problem with the unspent shells. I took the barrel off, and srayed wd-40 all in the chamber, but have yet to take that apart. It may be that the problem was dirt, but how did it get in there, when it was put together all of the time? I noticed that there isn't any room for dirt, or anything in the cranny where the barrel fits onto. Well, thanks. I will just have to let the video guide me, and take it all the way apart after opening day. the chamber and slide seem fine, it's just that the barrel goes on and off with difficulty. I guess it fired fine, I was just lucky that I didn't have to shoot again!
