I've recently purchased an 1879 Argentine Carbine and was wondering if it requires the special and rare carbine version of the 43 Spanish. I'm doing a chamber cast soon but I don't know if that will show up since the only difference between the 43 Spanish and the carbine version is that the carbine version is only 1 7/8s of an inch long on the case. Kind of a shot in the dark since I've been able to find very little on the carbine version. Any guesses?
