i just bought remington solid copper sabot slugs that are 1 ounce and was wondering how many grains they are.

437.5 grains to the ounce. Just remember that there are 7000 grains to the pound. That makes it easy to figure how many reloads you get from a pound of powder. ;)

So the sabot weight is 437.5 grains or the powder charge is 437.5 grains. Thanks for the quick reply im kinda new at this stuff.

The copper slug weights 437.5 grains = 1 oz. The powder charge is about 40 grains, at a guess.
