I just started shopping for a 30-30 levergun to add to my collection that will be defineately used to shoot. I started looking at the Win 94s and came across a local seller selling (2) Win 94s.

One of the 94's is a Bicentennial, new but no box 30-30 $425.00, the other 94 is dated 1965 and in excellent cond. $375.00.

I just started looking and was wondering what I can expect for a used Win 94; something that will be a shooter. Any opinions on an alternative.

Thanks !

Welcome to the Board.
I'm not an authority on gun value, but the pre 1968 Win'94s are generally consideredmore valuable the the rest. This from a Shooter's viewpoint. They were made better.

I agree.

I've got a 1952 '94 that's in great shape and is a real shooter. I'd recommend getting something like a Marbles tang sight for the '65 Winnie and you'll have something you'll proudly hand down to your grandson someday.
