View Full Version : 25-20 WCF Improved
Surely this has been done.
I can shoot a 63 grain bullet 2,700 fps out of my .218 Bee. Seems like a Mashburn Bee necked up to 25 caliber could easily shoot a 75 grain bullet at a similar velocity.

It'd be absolutely no different than a 256 Win Mag.

That occured to me after I posted this. Still, 25-20 KK Improved rolls off the tongue better than "256 Winchester Magnum" :D
The .256 strikes me as having too short of a neck and the 25-20 as too long.

Maybe. I'm still absolutely convinced that blown-out cases ought to be called "Ackley Exaggerated" because so few of them are actually improved in any meaningful way.

Its caled the .255 Dean after Harry O. Dean. Pre WWII wildcat intended for the Sabage Model 23 and the Savage 219.
Thank you. William.
A google search returns only electric guitars and tires.
I did find mention of a 25-218 Bumblebee.

I am graphing the loads from todays shoot and not thinking fast. here is a picture of the .25-20, .255 Dean, 255 Dean with 60-grain Savage JSP bullet. Not a very good pictur I'll admit.

Slim,
1. Have any favorite loads for the .255 Dean?
2. Where did you get the chamber reamer?
Thanks
