When using Leverevolution ammo, I am having trouble with the last round comming out of the magazine tube not feeding on my 1895 Marlin .450. The round will start coming out of the magazine and then stops and jams the action. When using the regular 350 grain Hornady load, I do not have any problems. Anybody else having this problem? What can I do to fix the problem?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I am interested in acquiring a 450 Marlin. What would you compare the recoil to?

Is the leverevolution round shorter than the 350gr load? I don't have one but I'm assuming the tube mag has a spring in it to push the rounds out. It seems to me like the mag is not pushing the round out far enough to be "picked" up and pushed to the chamber. I would check the spring first. Hope this helps.

I am sorry but I can't tell you why it does it but I can tell you that it is happening to more than just you. I went to our local gun dealer here in eastern Canada and I get a new marlin 1895 45/70. Before I settled on the 45/70 he was trying to sell me a marling 1895 450. So being the curious person I am I looked it all over the asked a few questions. I aske if there where any problems with that cal (first time I heard of a 450) he said nope...but...we do have one out back that a guy just brought back it will not load the new Hornady ammo the last one sticks...
