I was doing my post hunting season gun cleaning, on the bench was my #1V in 25-06. I really like this gun but I was thinking how nice a fluted barrel would be to take some of the weight out but still keep the benefits of the bull barrel.
Has anyone ever re-barreled a #1V with a fluted barrel of the same contour?

I've never had a fluted barrel, but here's an outfit that does a nice job on Ruger #1 barrels. I sure love my Ruger #1B, but I wish it had the barrel block sight mounts the 1V does, there a lot better system.
