Does anyone know where I can find a 7mm ultra mag or stw TC barrel ?

Just took a look , couldnt find one in the 7mm UM caliber,and also saw they werent being made on the other link ????
Theres gotta be one out there somewhere LOL .

If you want a used one, post a want to buy at GBO. MGM will make one, they have the 7SAUM in their list, and have seen discussions on th 7STW on their forum.

I know, MGM doesn't list the STW either, but I know they make em, so contact em and see what they'll do for ya.

Something you may need to consider is the larger case head of the 7RUM, custom TC barrel manufacturers discontinued the short mags due to the Encore not being strong enough for the case head thrust, the .553" 7RUM may be too much also.

Didnt even consider the size of the case head,sounds like too me the STW would be more of a factual barrel.

I wanting a LONG range barrel for my TC encore for a open country Muley hunt I will be going on when I get back from Iraq..And was thinking that the 7mm stw or Ultra mag would be right up my alley.Im personally a 30cal guy and own a M70 300 win mag and a M700 300 saum.But since I will be in open country where 400+ yrd shots will be more than likely,I figured I couldnt go wrong with a powerfull 7mm barrel fopr the TC.

BTW , do you have any tips for improving accuracy around the 400-500trd mark for the TC encore ? I have a trigger job doen already,just never have really worked with the rifle nor shot it past 200yds.

Can't say that I do, I only have a 375H&H Prohunter barrel and Flex-tech PH t-hole stock for my Encore, have heavy hammer and locking lug springs in it and a 3lb trigger spring, it shoot ¾" 100yd groups which are good enough for me. The only thing I did to it was float the forend with homemade pillars and sand it so it doesn't touch the frame on each side. I bought the frame used, it came with an oversize hinge pin, but I've not used it, supposedly it might help with some barrels.
