I usually use 1 yellow onion half a bag of stew potatoes and a bag of baby carrots,You can use whatever veggys you want. 1 backstrap , The amount of meat is up too your liken.

1st put your veggys in a pot.Add enough water too just cover them and then just a bit more.Cover and boil.Go light on the seasoning ! I personally like a little tonys in mine.

2nd Take your backstraop and cut into 1/2-3/4" steaks , season THEN tenderize. That way the seaoning will be in the meat instead of being cooked off.
Next you will batter and fry the tenderized steaks , be shure not too cook them well done, you will want them too be a little pink.

3rd When the veggys begin too trun a little tender not soft (too the point too where they should need 20-30mins left too cook) add the Fried steaks too the pot with the veggys.Lower the hit too a simmer, stirring occasoinally.Let simmer till the veggys are tender enough too it 20-30mins.You may add some pre stirred flour/batter or corn starch too thicken too your liken. Most of the time The fried batter on the steaks will be enough too thicken the stew.

Takes about 1 hr too cook a large pot from start too finish .

Enjoy ;)

I do something similar w/ venison roast in a crock pot...baby carrots, small white potatos. onions & the marinated roast, browned w/ a slice of bacon.

I recomend the croc liner bags too!

Cook all day while hunting on low. Mix (2) cups of Bisquick & water spoon on top to make dumplings, turn on High until the dumplings are done...

The meat falls apart! Never have any leftovers either!

I've cooked it that way also BTW.

But if you want it fast , the version I listed in the 1st post will work fine, meat is tender also ;) and has that fried taste as well ;)
