I'm picking up a Hartford 1892 round barrel, color casehardened receiver, saddle ring 357 Magnum carbine Friday night. I intend to follow
Steve Young's DVD instructions in smoothing it up, eliminating the goofy safety and have bought his steel magazine follower. My 50 year old eyes need a little help anymore with irons, but a pair of off the shelf "1.00" reading glasses seem to do the trick.
My question is: I have Williams FPs on my other lever guns and they're fine - but, I guess, a no-go for CAS. If I wanted to go that way, would Buffalo Arms' reproduction Lyman 21 or 38 receiver sight be acceptable for CAS on a '92? Were these sights factory options on the '92?
If not, maybe the readers will allow mw to get by.
Thanks in advance....
