What's wrong with a Pro Hunter Muzzleloader (new) that will not close with a primer in place? Tried two different primers. Action closes normally without primer. Reseated breechplug and it seems to be seated normally. It only lacks a few thousandths but the primer rim still protrudes ever so slightly above the rim of the primer pocket.
Help greatly appreciated. TC customer service is closed and will be all week. :(

I haven't heard of this problem before. Has the gun functioned properly before? Has it always done this?

cptm clark, i noticed on my pro hunter after i fired several loads that the extractor never stuck back but did get alittle stiff as you have to pull back and turn it to remove breach plug. don`t know what method t/c uses cleaning extractor area but i covered stock with large tube sock and carefully sprayed brake cleaner (with nozzle straw inserted in tip of can) down where extractor slid. let brake clean dry and lightly oiled extractor slide. if you have an air compressor you may try blowing out were extractor slides. sounds like maybe foreign object infront of slide. just a few things to try. goodluck;)

one more thing cptm clark. double check breach plug as it is possible to install 180 degrees out.
