I saw brand new Winchester (Miroku) 1886 take-downs in .45-70 for $1600 - which seems like a great price for this rifle. They're being sold by CDNN on page 65 of the current catalog.
I picked one of these up (with a straight-pull stock) a few years back and the quality is superb. I think they make them in batches of 500 guns, but don't know how many of these are out there.
These rifles are slightly different in that they have the "pistol grip" type stock. I don't own CDNN or make any money on their sales - just passing on what I think is a great deal for a hard to find rifle.
