Does it work? How are the FullfieldII's that are made in the PI?

I have a 3x9 Burris Fullfield II with ballistic plex on a Model 70 30-06 and it works reasonable well. I have tried it out to 400 yard and it puts the bullets within the average 8 inch kill zone. I wouldn't try to use it for varmint hunting but it could save the 400 yard elk shot for you. I am not the best at guessing.

Yes they work fine. My hunting partner has three of them, two 3 by 9's and a 4.5 by 14 and another friend uses one on his 300 Ultra-mag with great success. If I had the money that's what would be on my guns.

I'm looking at the 3x9 with the free GPS for a 300Wby Vangard. I learned navigation with the map and compass but want to play with a gps and need a scope for this rifle.

My shooting partner got a nice pair of binocs with each of his 3 by 9's and a spotting scope with the 4.5 to 14. He gave me one of the binocs and they are a dandy. Here's the binocs he gave me.

I have a 3x9 on a 6.5-06. It's a good scope, even without the ballistic tics, although I really haven't messed around too much with actually printing paper with the various tics at the requisite 200, 300, 400 yard marks. You really need to do this with your chosen load to get the benefit of the different tics, and establish what your point of impact at 100 yards (i.e., 1", 1.5", 2" high at 100 yards) should be to "be on" with the tics at other yardages. For really flat shooting rifles, and depending upon your chosen point of impact, the first tic below the crosshairs ends up being the 300 yard tic, rather than 200 yards.
A friend of mine has a 4.5-14x on his 8mm RM, and he's spent the time to really dial in his load to the tics. But beware....the scope needs to be on a certain power for effective use of the tics. On the 4.5-14x, I believe it has to be dialed all the way up to 14x. Your shot will go WAY high, if your scope is set on 4.5x, and you hold your 500 yard tic on a target out at 500 yards, for example. I can't tell you how I know this.:D

Well, it wasn't me. It was the buddy with the 8mm RM, and the shot was right around 500 yards on a cow elk. A shot that I wouldn't take, but my buddy is much more practiced up than me. The Shot was right in line with the vitals, but about 3 ft high. He had the scope on 4.5x. I was spotting for him, and told him it was 2-3 ft high (over the back), so he didn't shoot again. He asked if the bullet passed through the elk and maybe that's what I saw? "No, I don't think so, but maybe....". Several minutes later, he realized what had happened when looking at the scope settings.
It worked out though as another buddy was pushing the elk (and confirmed that there was no hit), and we caught up with them 1/2 hour later, and at just under 400 yards, he nailed the lead cow...with the right scope setting on 14x!

You use the marks on the highest power setting,If you want to get more range than what you can get on the highest setting lower the power setting and use the lower marks, when looking through the scope lower the power setting and watch the lower cross hairs drop below your target, then you can raise the rifle back up to align the plex's again, you can not do this with your center cross hair,it has to be the lower marks. With some practice on a set load I can hit boulders out to 1000 yards. They are very nice scopes for the money and I have three of them.2 3x9x40 bplx and 1 4.5x14x42 bplx.Excellent eye relief and just as clear as my leupolds.
