question, does the magazine tube need to be removed also for the forearm to come off? it seems after loosening the two screws of the forearm tip something else is holding it up.
Yes, they both have to come off together. Loosen the screw that holds the end of the magazine tube to the barrel and pull the tube away from the barrel, the forend will come with it. Keep your hand over the plug in the end of the tube to keep it from flying away under spring pressure.

thanks ken, looks like the forearm tip tenon will fall away also i guess. i'll bet it/s a bear trying to line all this back up.Yes, they both have to come off together. Nah, it isn't too bad. Just go slow and easy and don't force anything.
